I recently hired Julie to help me hone my cooking skills. Not only is she a fantastic chef but she's an incredibly skilled teacher -- not an easy combination to find. Julie’s good sense has saved us time and trouble. She notices small problems — things like a window not closing properly, odd dishwasher noise, or wood in danger of warping-- and takes care to make sure they don’t turn into big problems. She has helped with organizing files, keys, phone lists, and kitchen drawers, so that it’s much easier to find stuff. Julie Ulmer responded to our advertisement for a “homemaker” 5 years ago and since then she has done just that. She is incredibly reliable and cares for our lives with intuition and earnestness. We both work 60-80 hours per week. Julie has organized our house, closets, and many toys such that it is easier to keep things clean. She gives us welcome, useful input into what we need and will purchase it for us if we prefer. She will join us for major projects to maximize the work we wish to accomplish during a window of time, for example re-shelving after a renovation.
