Productivity is increased and stress is reduced in an organized, clutter-free environment. In a messy home, you waste countless hours of precious time looking for missing items, and possibly purchasing items you already own but can’t find easily. Living surrounded by chaos can be emotionally draining. When everything has a place and everything is in its place, you can focus your mental energy on the important things in life.
First, we will sort through your possessions and discard or find new homes for unwanted or unnecessary objects. We sort from top to bottom, left to right, going through cupboards, drawers, pantries, shelves, bureaus etc. Then we’ll establish a place/home/zone for everything you’re keeping. Finally, we’ll organize it all in an efficient, rational and useful way, creating systems to help you stay organized. We can reuse/recycle current storage products, or I can help you find storage products tailored to your taste and décor. The result: an orderly, tidy environment that utilizes the most of your valuable space. Simplifying will bring a sense of calm, order and renewal. Each client is treated with sensitivity, objectivity and, most importantly, confidentiality!

Organizing When Downsizing
Downsizing can be somewhat different than organizing. There are a lot of reasons for people who want to downsize, such as moving to smaller accommodations, combining two households, absorbing a parent’s estate, a desire to live more minimally, a need to utilize space that is being used for storage, and ridding of off-site storage units or lockers. In either case, we start with editing and curating what you would like to keep and what you would like to let go of. Items are sorted into categories such as trash, recycle, donate, sell, by the curb for free, passing on to family or friends, or whatever may be the case. Then we decide the best way to organize what you are keeping. Your home or office may be organized, you just need help making decisions on how to downsize.

Helping boomers or seniors downsize can be a difficult task since there is usually a lot of sentimentality involved. Not only have I helped many clients with the downsizing process but I’ve also helped my own family members! So I know how emotional and onerous a chore it can be. I am there to guide you, to support you, to listen to the stories behind the possessions and to help you prepare for relocating or to safely age in place.
We work together towards your goals, often times keeping the best of the best and losing the rest!
